Hi Kim~ I saw your post on the message board. I am very sorry to hear about your dad. That must be awful for you. Don't worry about being more moody or weepy since surgery. That really is normal. Give yourself a break. You have been through a lot. Not to mention all of the time spent thinking and doing before surgery. Everything just kind of accumulates and hits you in the face after surgery. Especially when you can't turn to food anymore for comfort. BTW, you are just gorgeous. Good Luck with everything. I hope you get your g-tube out soon. 4 weeks sure seems like a long time. I had mine in until my 2 week check up. The doctor drained it at that time. I never had to touch it (thank God) lol. Oh, one more thing don't let any of the drainage touch your skin if you can help it. My doctor told me that it can burn, irritate the skin. God Bless!

I have just returned from the hospital and want to report to you all that Kim came through her surgery with flying colors! YEAAAAAAAAA She went in at approximately 8 AM and was in her room at 11 AM. She was awake, talking and quite coherent. Well, as coherent as Kim can be! LOL She was resting comfortably when I left her but she was most definitely looking forward to her next pain medication shot. I know she would want me to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes and good thoughts and I know she will post as soon as she is able. I will report back tomorrow when I return from work to let you all know how she is doing. Please continue to keep my very best friend in the whole wide world in your prayers. Thank you all.

I called Munroe to see how Kim is doing about 6 p.m. this evening. I spoke to her for a minute, but, of course, she had the tube in her nose which made talking difficult. I then spoke to Nicole, her angel. Nicole said that Kim went in for her surgery just after 8 a.m. She was in her room by 11 a.m. Nicole said she is doing quite well... walking a couple of times. Kim, I'm so thrilled for you and I'll continue to pray for you. Talk to you once you get home. Bonnie

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too.
