NutraRecipe Protein Shake
"I tried NutraRecipe powdered Shake mix for 2 weeks pre-op and 2 weeks post op. I was okay with the shakes at first, but by the 3rd-4th week, I started getting really sick of them. I would add decaf/SF instant coffee to them to make them taste better. Honestly, without the coffee, they taste like you're drinking cake mix."

OptiFast Protein Supplement Shakes
"I originally tried NutraRecipe, and by 2 weeks post op was sick of it. I changed to the Optifast supplement and am not sick of those as well. They are very sweet and I don't really care for them. They have 14g of Protein each, and come in Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate."

"I really like Spectrum Hospital. The nursing staff was pretty good. I had nurses that were used to WLS patients. They respected my decisions and my privacy. I really appreciated that. I also had a Nursing Student (Kristie from Ferris) that was excellent! All of the Nurse Assistants were good as well. The staff kept bugging me to walk - which is a good thing. They did not bug me much other than that. The check-in lady in Outpatient Pre-op was very personable. The Pre-op staff was average. The Surgery staff was excellent. And like I said, the post-op staff on 7 North was pretty good! I would rate this visit overall a 9. "
