"Dr Gerritt Smith is a talented surgeon with real character. He is human. Over the past months, my impression of him has not changed, only intensified.
His office staff is very caring, helpful, available, and encouraging. They don't seem to recognize a "dumb" question from me.
What I liked least about Dr Smith is the lack of time he seemed to have with me in his office which is a problem in most doctor's offices. If you wish to maximize your visits with Dr. Smith, do some research. Then you can ask intelligent questions and utilize your appointment time well.
After the first post-surgery appointment, Dr. Smith sees me once a month. He and his staff follow a general aftercare program that is modified as needed per individual.
But, the patient needs to input as much effort as the doctor does. Overall, Dr. Smith is a very reliable and competent surgeon. He has a relaxed bedside manner and is honest. I believe and trust in my doctor's skill and in his sincerity. He is a God-fearing man but reacts matter-of-factly about his faith.
