I just called Vicki's room and guess what? SHE answered the phone!! She sounded wonderful and was so alert. She was having some muscle spasms, but her surgery went without a hitch. Although she did have a bit of a scare beforehand when they told her she was running a bit of a fever. OH NO!! She was so afraid they wouldn't do it....but since there were no other symptoms and her temperature did finally return to almost normal, they went ahead with the surgery.

Vicki, I am 11 hours from surgery. Remember to keep your chins up because they'll sag soon anyway. lol I couldn't "weight" (lol) until this day. Ah'll bee bock! 8D You have to stay happy. Good luck to you.

Vicki, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you make your journey to a new and exciting life!!! I will be praying that the Lord will give you the strength and Dr. Wachsmuth the wisdom and knowledge to get you through your surgery...He will send Angels to be in your operating room with you. Hey Vicki!! Gosh you're just a week away from your day. I've been thinking about you and will try to call you soon. When I told Mama your surgery was next Thursday, she said "Well I sure am glad. She sure has had to wait a long time." I hope things turned out OK with your Dad. Talk to you soon. Love and Prayers...Harriet

Okay..I give up :) Let me just say I'm doing fine. Go to see Dr. W tomorrow and hopefully get the go ahead for 2 ounces of REAL food. I'm still staying at my Mom's (yes I am spoiled). Don't have much pain now; just get really tired. I'll keep you posted . . . now that I've learned the secret -- not to fill in name and password until I'm ready to post. If I hadn't done that, I'd have sent this 3 times already!!! LOL And no, I'm not drinking too much of my pain med!! Talk to you soon. Harriet

Vicki, Sorry for the blank posting. Now you know why I haven't posted anything before now. That 3 ounces of ensure doesn't help brain function much.
