Hi Stephanie! Congrats on your 1 month postop! You are doing GREAT!!! Yes, it can be hard getting in all your water/fluids the first few months but if you keep a water bottle with you at all times and sip sip sip throughout the day (except for during meal time and at least 30 minutes before and after meals), you'll find it's much easier :) Hope this helps and to see you at the Monday night support group meetings!! :) Caroline LAP RNY 5/2/03, -203 lbs

Hi-it's me! Everything seemed to work out fine with my family and my parents were definently there to take care of me after surgery. I am one month post op and I've lost 23 1/2 pounds, which is awesome! I just attended my nutrition class yesterday and now I am trying to transition to soft foods. It's definently touch and go. It's not easy in the beginning but I hear it gets better. I am having a hard time getting all my water in, and I've always been a BIG water drinker. The nutritionist said that it gets easier and that it's harder in the beginnning because of inflammation from the surgery. I can feel a bladder infection coming on because I am not drinking enough water. Hopefully, I can get my intake up!

5 days until surgery...yikes! It's coming soon. Hopefully, everything will turn out right and I hope this aftermath is not too bad. Thanks for all your comments. I read everyone's profiles who sent me comments and they were very encouraging.

You can find a lot people on this website that will be there to support you. Sticking together is how we will beat this disease. No one person can do this alone. So don't ever be afraid to ask. Take care.
