Surgery March 20th

Well, I actually did it I had the lap band surgery on 3/20/09. I can't believe I went through with it. I have been fearing doing this surgery for the last 5 years, but I finally realized I wanted to live life again instead of sitting back watching other people live. Surgery day was pretty rough for me. I had a lot of anxiety before going in, but the nurses, my family, and my friends were all there for me and got me through one of the hardest days of my life. Oh I have to give thanks to the nice cocktail they gave me to calm me down before surgery :) I woke up from surgery in no pain and was able to leave the hospital within 2 hours after surgery. I still have had minimal pain. The only thing I have suffered from is terrible gas and excessive weekness. So far I'm 7 days post opt and I've already lost 18 pounds! I'm so excited to see myself lose weight and become a healthy energenic person! Stay tuned...................
