Hi...Tomorrow is surgery and right now I am dealing with the results of Magnesium Citrate aka the "devils brew". Imagine being in the jungles of Amazon eating a meal of rancid goat eyes and lizard belly. Well, the out come would be similar.
I researched what this stuff is like and I read things like: Lemon flavor is tart and best "enjoyed over ice". Let me tell you there isn't any "enjoyed" in this stuff. My son was deployed and after a battle the medic had him take two cap fulls and he said the race was on. Let me tell you after a whole bottle the race is over. Actually, I have lost so much I don't think I need surgery any longer. Sorry for ranting but I really don't like this stuff especially after being on a liquid diet all day. And, believe it or not I am not a whiner.
Today I saw the surgeon, Dr. Suh, and he answered all my questions. I will be at the hospital @ 0930.
I have utilized this website to ask many of you questions and I truly appreciate all the responses. I started to pray for all of you and hope your WLS was a success and that your new life is great. Thanks again to all of you and hope to update in several days once I get home and feel like typing.

Hope all of you are well. I just got my surgery date which is 3/20. Needless to say it's been a long time and long process but hopefully it will be worth it. My hope is to have my leg and feet pain greatly reduced and to get off "all the meds".
We have a working ranch and I can't stand not being able to do what needs to be done. Any suggestions for the recovery and first week would be helpful. My wife and I pray for all of you everyday. Thanks, Layne,
