Just Home from Surgery

Had Lap Band on Monday, 2nd of March 2009.  It was a success!!! Was the 2nd case done at this hospital, got a lot of attention. I thought that I was going to be in more pain, but it was really tolerable.  Had some annoying pressure on my bladder, and was a little queezy from the anethesia, but , that went away the by the next morning.  So now I'm home, trying to eat the broth and jello, stomach has started to growl, so I've taken a couple swallows of the Ensure (high protein).  It does't give me painful gas.  I started walking around a couple of hours after I got back to my room, and that helped relieved a lot of the air that's in the stomach.    I know it's early, but I think I doing great.  Want to cough, but its painful.  Have to take the anit-biotics every 8 hours, was an hour late this morning.  The nutritionist told me if I thought I could tolerate it I could start on my full liquids early.   The vitamin I'm taking (Caramel VIACTIV) tastes like candy so that's a treat.  Already up and cooking for my family, sister is on her way from Atlanta (she's a nurse).  So until next time....
