Well I made it thru the 2 pre-op weeks of liquid protein hell only to struggle thru 2 more weeks of it. But I made it! I'm now on soft textured foods... so much better though I still can't wait to be able to have something crunchy!
Surgery went well, I ended up staying 3 nights in the hospital being made a well used pin cushion. the first week and a half recovery were rough and I felt miserable. Lots of tears and emotions... lots of painful times... but I'm out of that now and I'm feeling ALOT better. I've lost roughly 30-35 pounds since the begining of May so that is pretty good, I expect to have an increase in dropping since I'm starting back at the gym this week.  Atleast I hope it will, this last week I lost nothing but gained nothing so that is good lol.
Alright back to work for me... just thought it was time for an update!

So I'm on Day 2 of my 14 day high protein fast... aka protein shake liquid diet from hell... Yesterday kept my game face on, did alright but I would so give away my iPod for a peice of grilled chicken...  today just extremely tired, I have no energy... though carb intake is like around 10 grams or so a day so that could be the reason my body isn't quite getting the fact that it needs to use either the protein injested or the fat I have stored! I can't wait to get my samples of the Unjury protein powders... this pro-cal stuff tastes like crap!  It's insane trying to schedule all my medications so they don't interact with the vitamins I am taking! hopefully soon enough I'll be off of most if not all my meds! I'm already on very little insulin with this liquid diet.
So thats that I suppose... Getting more excited with each passing day. I can't wait till my mom gets here! 
Till then I guess I'll try to keep my self occupied and ignore my grumbling stomach!

Ok so I called a week after my clinic faxed the letter over just to make sure it had been recieved! and well the guy told me they had just finalized the claim and they had APPROVED IT!!!! yea!! So now I'm waiting on the hospital coordinator to give me a date! I'm soooo Happy! I've been pigging out all weekend eating at places I know I won't be able to enjoy after the surgery! But honestly I'm ok with that but I will splurdge now and get what I can in! Ok so YEA!!! I'll keep ya posted!

Well... UT submitted my insurance letter/packet on Friday 3/21/08. Now it's jus the whole wait and see thing. I'm a bit nervous... there is no reason for it not to be approved but I'm still worried. Now I'm also worried about how much the insurance covers... I've read reviews that some insurances only cover 80%.... Thats still alot of money! Anyway I won't stress or will try not to until I get an approval letter.... Wish me Luck!!!
