I been looking into this surgery since about 2/2002. At that time the only surgeon I would have considered was Dr. Kellam... because I knew so many of her patients. But she required you be 25...... so I waited!

As you can see its been a little while since I have written. I have still been here reading and looking at before and afters.... I was extremely disappointed a few years ago when I found out my old insurance would in no way, shape or form would pay for surgery. But this year we got new insurance and I am trying again wish me luck!

Well I am just so darn excited. I am waiting on my medical records from my Primary Care Doctor Lantelme. Then I can send in my packet to Susan! I just can't wait. I have been through all this before to just be disappointed. And I hope it doesnt happen again. But last time it was my insurance. I have already called to confirm that my insurance covers this and it does. I so hope... this all goes my way! If any other ppl that seen Dr. Fuzz read this... Please let me know what the process was from the time you turned in your paperwork till u had a date. I know I have to go see the Dr. and Dr. Jeff & the nutrionist still I wonder about the time frame.

Received a letter in the mail telling me I had to attend an informationial seminar in order to have my appt sceduled with Dr. Fuzz

Susan called today she said that my suicide attempt in 1994 really had her concerned. They can't find my medical records on it... I guess because I was a minor.... Anyway she said I could attend the first seminar on May 16th then schedule with Dr. Smith & the nutrionist.... time line with surgery being in FALL..... I am very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the seminar tonight. Didn't learn anything I didn't already know. But it was nice to meet Fuzz & Susan.
I have an appt with Dr. Jeff Smith for my mental evaluation this Friday!! I will let you know how that goes!

Mental Evaluation went okay I guess....... I am gonna do some therapy to make sure I am mental capable of handling the surgery. Dr. Smith was great and I look forwards to seeing him now..... He was real laid back and easy to talk to..... I guess we all got our demons and issues.....

I went in for my sleep apnea consult.... The Summit Sleep Center had some really fine folks working there and I felt really great about the Doctor. I have a appt. for my sleep study on 6-12-06 and my follow up the next day. He thinks I have it.... study will see for sure.
I also had a visit with my primary Dr. Lantleme.... my labs came back and he was not at all happy about it..... He had lots of great advice.
I am seeing Dr. Smith weekly and I have an appt to see about meds on 6-8-06 with Dr. Kirkland..... maybe shes got something that will make me feel "NORMAL" lmao we will see .....
I have had a lot of good feed back about the surgery. Yet I still have a few friends who are worried and don't think I should. I am still so very excited and hope I can. I can't imagine being around 175 again... that would be awesome. Imagine all the things you could do and see. How great you would feel. And to be healthy. I swear daily I feel worse... sluggish, run down, tired and all I do is haul my big ass around work, hanging out, swimming, yard work etc..... Its a sad state of affairs..... I mean really

Consult with surgeon! It was rough to say the least. I felt I had to practicly beg Fuzz to consider me. My suicide attempt when I was 14 was their deal...... Anyway I will be more then happy to show em all that I am so very FINE and I will be a GREAT BIG LOSER!! I can't wait...... all the more motivation I need to get up and whoop some ass!!

Appt with Mary Martha was today. She felt I would be a great candidate from her end.... Now I guess all I can do is wait on approval from my insurance and a date!! WISH ME LUCK!!!
