My name is Stacey and I'm from Washington State. My weight first became an issue as I hit puberty gaining at least a size every year despite a very active youth. I am the poster child for Yo-Yo dieting and I'm tired of it. I'm ready to end this reality and start a new one!
My interest in weight loss surgery started almost 2 years ago when a very heavy co-worker went in for an RNY bypass. She must have outweighed me by over 100lbs at the time of her surgery. She had once said, "If I was only your weight, I wouldn't think of having the surgery." It was about 6 months later she was asking if I'd like any of her uniform pants that were now too big for her.... Ouch!
I have decided on the LapBand due to the less invasive surgical procedure and have read just about every book I can find on it or wls in general. I fully believe this is finally going to be the tool I've needed to end this 30 year Yo-Yo!
