Liquid Diet - Day 2

Bloody hell!! No one mentioned getting a headache that feels like a steel rod sticking up your neck into your head! And so many tv commercials about food...
It's always that way, ain't it? You think you are pregnant - so many diaper and pregnancy test commercials. Buying a car? They seem to be talking right to you, "pick me, pick me!"
Anyway, end of day two... came home with a headache that made me cry. Actually started yesterday, but progressively worsened throughout the day. No more in the door, and ripped open a can of chicken noodle soup - strained out the noodles and nuked it. Still achin', so made my lovely husband massage my neck, head and face. Ahhhhhhhhhh... relief!

Pre-Op Liquid Diet - Day 1

10 days until surgery.
I sit here typing, as I have my first Atkins Advantage shake... not bad, but really want a cup of coffee with cream. I wonder if this shake stuff would be good in coffee??
I need to take pics and measurements today, but really don't want to think about it, although I should. This is the whole reason, ain't it? Cuz I'm fat, and regular dieting no worky for me.
I am excited though, that this is the beginning of the end of Fat Amy. So many things to say "goodbye" to: asking for the extender belt on the airplane, and no bruises from the seats; sitting uncomfortably in any chair with arms; sitting in a booth with one of the belly rolls propped on top of the table; and this is just the tip of the iceberg! I could go on for days...
My mom and sister think I've gotten myself into a scam - an expensive one this time. Another "miracle diet" that I have been suckered into by some snake-oil selling quack doctor. As I told them, "lack of education on their part, does not constitute a stupid move on my part." Oh well... typical.
My husband is really excited for me, and so supportive. He's looking forward to not hear me bitchin' cuz my clothes don't fit, or I've managed to knock something over again with my big ass/hips. What he's really looking forward to is new sexual positions, and 18 holes of golf without too much huffin' and puffin'.

Size of pants - 30/32 - OMG!!

Surgery in 15 days, liquid diet begins in 5.
I'm eating like crazy, like I'll never get to eat again... well not the same way - which is a GREAT thing!
Going from "Live to eat, to Eat to live" which is a whole new mindset for me. I'm so excited - a bit scared, but much more excited.
