Life is still wonderful. I am down 100 pounds and some change and I am loving life. I dont have much time to write much now, but just wanted to update and let you all know that I am happy still with my decission to change my life. By the way I am 8 mo. post. See you guys later. - La Tinya

6-25-03 Life has been great. I have had no complications. I am now 6 mo. post and I have lost 78 pounds. I have not been exercising like I should because of my job, but as a school teacher the school year is over and I will be exercising to speed up the weight loss. My clothes are real baggy but its a motivation to keep on. my co-workers have really noticed and I love it. Some I choose to tell exactly what I have done, while other I have chossen to tell them that I have lost the weight through alot of hard work, discipline and sacrifice. My new body is wonderful. To all who are still thinking about it, "Just do it". you will lover the new you in the end. Loveing life - La Tonya

1/22/03 I am doing great!! Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts and prayers. They were most helpful and needed. The surgery went great and recovery is going wonderful. The doctor was able to do the procedure lap. which lends itself to a speedy recovery and minimal discomfort. I cant believe how much food I no longer want to eat. Its amazing!!! When I went for my two week post op check I was down 13 pounds. I dont go back again until Feb. I miss my one month check up because my doc is in the process of changing hospitals. The nurse has called to follow up with me by phone and I have had two post visits with the diatitian. Life has been good. I have been following hte docs instructions to the letter and so far no negative experiances. I am thrilled about my decision to change my life. Thank God Im on the loosing side! The Lord be with you all.
