"Dr Morton performed my VSG on 3/24/09. I'm just about 2 weeks post op at the time of this review. First the good stuff: I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Morton. From the moment I woke up I could tell that the stapling and suturing had gone perfectly. I was home within 30 hours.rnrnNow about Stanford and surgery in general. I was very disappointed in the after care. I had a tremendous amount of trouble getting nurses to respond to me, had trouble maneuvering the bed and the controls, had no privacy what so ever because I was by the door and the nurses kept forgetting to close my curtain and no real direction to help me get better. I left within 30 hours because I felt like I was much more capable of healing myself at home. Likewise the aftercare is very weak. My first meeting with the surgery staff post-op was disappointing.
