A new start

May 03, 2015

So, today is May 3, 2015, I am still doing my pre-op diet for surgery(VSG) on Wednesday the 6th. I can't believe that in just a few days I will be having this done and a whole new beginning will start. My highest weight was 308. I can't believe I was there. Since starting this journey to have this surgery and lose weight I am down to 274 this morning and can't wait to see what amazing things will come after having this surgery. I want to become healthy for myself, my daughter, and my husband. I am tired of feeling sick and tired. I am tired of feeling and being fat, not being able to keep up with my 3 yr. old. I have to do this for her. I know I have to do this for me so I can be there for her, so I can start living again. I want my PTC(pesudotumor cebri) to go into remission.

There is so much I want to live for. There is so much I hope that changes with having this done. Ever since 8th grade when I was 13 I have been over 200lbs. I want to see the scale to say 1... even if it is 199. I know I will get there one day. I think that it is my goal that I just made- yep make it to 199 by my 32 birthday October 27th. 11 days shy of what will be my 6 month post-op anniversary. Is that even possible? I don't know, but I know that I am going to work my hardest at getting there. Wish me luck

If you are starting this journey, hang in there it can take a while to get approved for surgery, and find the Dr. that is right for you. Make sure that you trust your Dr. and his team. Have faith, work and try hard for all that you want. Stick with it, YOU can do this!
