I am a 31 year old who has battled with weight loss and gain my entire life. I remember being in 5th grade and being on weight watchers. The battles were endless with loosing and gaining weight all my life. My sister had WLS 2 years ago and it was very sucessful for her. After she had WLS and I simply saw her melting before my eyes. I began to think and pray about having WLS. My husband was not very for it in the beginning due to the risk. After much discussion he agreed that for my health we should have it done. We have had several treatments of infertility over the last 7 years but for some reason were unable to conceive. I know now that it was not the right time for us. I am anxious to get this weight off in the next 18-24 months and to start a family. My journey of getting approvals and getting surgery was not an easy one (which I know I am not alone in). I don't understand why "they" make it so difficult for us to get healthy and get our lives back. I am now on the road to a healthier me and I am so excited about it.
