Hello,
WOW!!! It has been so long since I have been to the site and updated my profile.. So I will update on all that has happened in my life and where I am in my surgery journey...
I quit working full time at the Shakopee Women's Prison to go back to school full time to get my RN. I love that I made that decision. Nursing has ALWAYS been my passion. I miss the money since I am not working but will be ok..
I am enrolled full time at Inver Hills Community College for the nursing program. Next semester starts 1/10/05 and I am taking 5 classes.. YIKESSSSSSSSSSS.. I will be ok...
I went to another internist who recommended I pursue the weight loss surgery. He said I am a good candidate.. I have back problems, arthritis, and plantar facitis.. ( This was one of the major factors in my decision to quit working at the prison. I had broken my heel and my podiatrist told me to get a new career.)
I was nervous about having the surgery and when I went and saw that first psychologist for my MMPI and she said I needed counseling first that really discouraged me.. So I backed off from pursuing the surgery.
Now that I dont have Health Partners and have insurance through my husband's work and it is pretty good insurance I am going to go to Dr Ikrammudin who I hear is really good. He is new to Regions Hospital so I am hoping that it will go quickly...
So.. I am beginning the process again and I really need all the help and support I can get.. So I am hoping that this website will help me through..
I have my information seminar Feb 17 and then I see Dr Ikramuddin on that following Monday...
Keep you fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
