My name is Andrea and I live in south mississippi with my wonderful partner, Becky, and our 5 dogs. I had my surgery on December 13th, 2010. i have been heavy all my life, i can remember having to shop in the womens clothes dept at 10 years old. changing everything i knew about food has been difficult, but it was able to be done.
There were several factors that led me to opt for surgery, 1.) I did not want to be fat anymore. 2.) my partner and i want to have children. 3.) I would like to see my future children possibly get married. 4.) i would like to do more traveling than only what i can do in my car. 5.) i want to be with my partner for a long, long time.
i know they are kind of random, but those are a few things that convinced me to go through with it, and so far it is turning out to be the best decision i have ever made. at my heaviest i was 462 lbs. i was not in denial, i knew i needed to do something. now i am feeling better and better everyday and i cant wait till this summer to see how much weight i will have lost. i am very happy i did this.
