5 Yr. Anniversary

Oct 12, 2009

Hey everyone,

I cannot believe that it has been five years since I had weightloss surgery.  I had my doubts in the beginning of my journey, but the longer it went; the more I believed that I could keep it off.  Since losing the weight, my confidence level has gone sky high.  I have gone from being a shy, timid individual who did not want to socialize to a vibrant and outgoing person.  I have moved from Orange, TX to Austin, TX where I work for the State of Texas and am getting married in October 2010.

I can say that without the weightloss surgery, I do not know what my life would be like.  Probably, just staying at home and not getting out and enjoying life like I do now.

Take it from me.  Get out and enjoy life.

4 Year Anniversary

Nov 19, 2008

I cannot believe it has been four years since I have weightloss surgery.  Well, some amazing things have been happening in my life.  On October 1, 2008, I started a new job with the State of Texas and moved to Austin, Texas all in the same month.  Also, I have finally found a wonderful guy who cares about me both physically and spiritally.  I could not have asked for a better year if you ask me.

Last year, if you had told me that I would find love, move out of my parents' home, and find a fantastic job, I would had said to go jump in a lake because things that good never happen to me.  Well, guess what, things finally are looking up for me, which is a wonderful feeling.

Remember to always keep your chin up because good things will happen to everyone in life.  These wonderful things probably would have never happened if I haven't had the surgery four years ago.  The only thing that I am still having a hard time with is having guys check me out on a regular basis without me even noticing it.

2 Year Anniversary

Nov 16, 2006

Hi everybody,

I cannot believe that it has been 2 years since I had my surgery.  Time flies when you are loosing weight and feeling better at the same time.  Last week, I went to see my psychiatrist, and he said to the following phrase of, "you are half the woman you used to be," as a compliant since I have lost a little over half my old weight.  In fact, I love to get on the scale now instead of dreading it.  Also, in December 2005, I have plastic surgery to remove the excess skin around my tummy and I love it because now I can fit into the teeny tiny clothes (size 8-10).  Well good luck to all of you.

Remember, if you need any advice, I am just a click away, so email me with all your questions.
