I went for my appointment with Dr. Waymeier today. She is very excited to come along with me on this journey...I am so thankful that my doctor Kari was too busy to fit me in one day when I needed to go and I had to make the appointment with Dr. Waymeier!! Got all of my labs taken except for one, there was one that I needed to fast before so I am going in on June 21st at 8:15am. :o)

Today I got the phone call I have been waiting for from Health Partners to schedule the 5 mandatory phone appointments with their dietician, Emily Carlson. My first phone appointment will be on June 21st at 2:00pm. At the end of our appointment we will schedule the next one..and so on. I guess they have to be about 10 days apart so here we go :o)

I drove to Abbott today for my first appointment with my surgeon (Dr. Chute). My friend Angela rode along with me. Dr. Chute sent me home with a list of labs to take to Dr. Waymeier. All in all a good trip!! I made my two mandatory appointment with Dr. ONeil (Abbott's Psychologist). The first one is on July 23rd at 10am; this one will be about 3 hours because I have to answer a bunch of questions on a questioneer, then meet with him. The second one is on August 6th at 11:30am, then I will be finished with that step :o) I also found out that for Health Partners I have to meet with their MD at Abbott to meet their requirements so I made an appointment with Dr. Stevens for July7th at 9:30am.

I mailed in my packet yesterday and today I received a call from Deb Vanderbal confirming that she got it and I could make an appointment with a surgeon. I chose Dr. Chute, he was the one who hosted the seminar we went to on Tuesday. I go to see him on Wednesday June 9th at 2:15pm for my post op appointment. WhooooHoooo!

Joe and I made it to the seminar. I am so happy that there is someone who will help me. There are alot of steps that I need to go through before I can actually schedule surgery. I completed step 1, attending the seminar. I am waiting for a packet to fill out and set up an appointment with a Bariatric surgeon fo finish step 2. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. Elizabeth Vander Laan (Abbott's dietician) for July 20th @ 2:30pm.
