emotional eating

In times of stress I turn to chocolate, chips or anything laden with carbs.  Feelings of well being seem to be associated with this types of foods.  Relationship woes have me drowning in carbs and this is undoing all the hard work I have accomplished.  It is troubling to me that my mom and ex both have the power to send me running for the 'fridge or diving into the chips for comfort.  Feelings of abandonment run rampart in my heart and mind and total confusion consumes me.
I know I need to get a grasp on my emotions if I want to be successful in this journey.
