I can't believe it!  It has already been a year since my surgery.  I am so happy with my choice of having this wonderful surgery.     I have lost a total of 85 pounds now.  It has been very slow the last 2 months.  I really don't mind that much.  At least I am not shrinking out of new clothes too fast now.   I would still like to lose another 15-17 pounds.  My goal is still 140, and I have been holding around 157.  I feel very fortunate.  I think if I get back to going to the gym 3 times a week, the weight will start coming off again.  

I just started a new job on 12/27, I am now working at the County DMV office in my neighborhood.  I left a job that I was very happy at, to go to a job that is .6 of a mile away from my home.  I will be walking to work when it gets nicer here.  I have been training in the information booth so far. 

I have great friends that Maria calls us "the cult"    We all have had this surgery with Dr. Caruana.  We met through this website and then at the support group meetings at Synergy before some of our surgeries.  We really support each other very well.  I love my new friends.   

I have not bought a sequin dress to wear for new year's like I had a goal to do.  Mike and I just went out to dinner at Olive Garden and watched a movie at home, I had bought a bottle of Cold Duck to toast in the new year, but I did open it up prior to that time.  Mike and I both had fallen asleep before it was midnight.     .  I knew we were not going to be partying at a place that the sequin dress was going to be in style.  Maybe for some other celebratory function in the future. 

I am very happy!!
