Hi everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that my sweet little angelette is doing 100% better today. I spoke with her earlier and she sounds wonderful! I am so proud of her! The IV is gone, she had a shower today and she's been up walking all day. You go girl! You're such a loser now!!! Love ya babe!

<p> I spent the better part of the day with my sweet angel Annette. I got there at 1:00 and her official angel Sherina was there and they had already walked twice around the floor.</p><p> After we got her back into bed she said her right arm was swollen and thought that the IV had come out, well it had. The nurses came in and they had just a terrible time trying to find a vein. At one point they had both arms tight off trying to find one. Eventually they decided to try another spot on her right arm and almost immediately Annette told them that it was burning. They said that it would take a minute. The nurse left to get the keys for the morphine pump and before she got back, I went and found her and asked her to come take out the IV. Well she unhooked the machine but left the needle in and just left. My sweet angel was laying there in pain with tears streaming down her face. Her mom came back from lunch and went and made the nurse take it back out. They got ahold of Dr. Capehart and she said to try and forgo the IV and just give her a morphine injection. They finally did after about 30-45 minutes.</p><p> I cannot tell you how hard it was to sit there and know she was in pain and feel so helpless to do anything. Her husband and I both offered our veins. She said that she is not in pain because of the surgery itself, but because of everything they had to remove and rearrange to do the surgery itself.</p><p> Annette is just amazing she kept apologizing to me for not being better company. Her husband Robert is so sweet too, he is so concerned for her and cares for her so much it is wonderful to watch. Hopefully she will be home Thursday. Annette, I was so relieved to call and talk to your mom last night! I felt like all was well since "mom" was there! You have been such a wonderful friend and I'm sooo glad that we've connected! I'll be here for you no matter what honey! Congratulations! Love ya!

I also had to have my appendix out, and I was all rearranged too, not much fun, but the good news is, it will get better soon, give yourself about a week, and you will feel like a whole new person. Welcome to the loser side, and good luck :)
