"After visiting four info sessions for different surgeons and hospitals, and then checking the surgeon profile site, my husband and I decided that most patients seemed to really like Dr. Curry. At the info session, Dr. Curry answered all questions to my satisfaction and seemed very generous with everyone. I had been researching for a year so I pretty much knew about the procedures offered. I just wanted to get a sense of how each surgeon I saw would be as far as his bedside manner. Dr. Curry won out. He was informative with the right mix of science/layman talk. He knew his stuff and could expain it to simple folk like me. His office staff is very efficient and forth-coming with the answers to any questions I had. This office does, however, seem to push the lap-band procedure and had to ask whether rny was an option or not. After discussing with Dr. Curry some of the unique physical situations I have, he decided that I would be a better candidate for rny. His staff was great with getting my insurance approved. I only waited about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks for approval through UnitedHealthCare."
