Thanksgiving vacation!!!

I'm on Thanksgiving vacation from the college. 9 wonderful days without going to class!!! Maybe I can get back on the wagon during this time. I haven't been very good about weighing and measuring my food or logging it like I have before. I have to go back to my NP on Nov. 30 and I know I won't have lost very much weight. Part of that is due to the fact that I haven't been logging etc but part is due to the fact that I didn't get a fill last time and I think I need one now. I'll try to be better about weighing, measuring, and logging my food. This is a hard time of the year for everyone in respect to weight loss. It's around now that my diets usually lost their wheels and crashed. This year WILL be different.

have never in my life blogged!!! I guess there's a first time for eveything. I decided to do this since I signed up for the Secret Santa and thought the person that has my name may come looking for me.
I teach anatomy and physiology at a community college in a small rural town in Kansas (hence the avatar). I'm also Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. I'm married and have a son who is 36 married with 2 sons and lives in Topeka, Kansas. My babies at home right now are a six month old yellow lab named Cato and a 6 year old Schnauzer named Missy. My husband farms and together we make and sell jewelry. He facets, does some silver smithing and wirewraps. I do beading and wirewrapping. Other hobbies are knitting (clothing and purses), cross-stitch, and reading.
I started this journey for several reasons - health, looks, to feel better - about the same as everyone else on here.
I don't think I'm a very good blogger - kind of boring.
