Hello, I am in the process of trying to get lapband surgery. I live in Michigan with my husband and three children. My surgeon is in Goshen,IN.
I would say I started gaining weight with my first pregnancy (17 years ago) and never quite got rid of it completely. I have yo-yo dieted and lost/gained weight I don't know how many times. I'm 34 years old and feel like I'm pushing 60! I have a few health problems, but nothing I ever thought was "too bad" .
I am scared to death of failing at this as well. I go for my six month visit in April and then they will submit for insurance approval. I'm also excited, at first it was thought that the RNY would be better for me b/c I have a big sweet tooth. Then I started to think more and more about having my inards rearranged and the malabsorbtion and decided to go with the lapband.
