What can I say. Today I was speechless and you couldn't wipe the smile off of my face. I have been feeling a little sad because I was wanting results faster then what is possible. I look everyday trying to see a difference and I can't.
I am down 23 pounds and 6.5 inches in a month and I am very happy about that, just wanted to see more changes in my body, so I went rummaging through the closet to see what I could try on. Well to my surprise I found a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to fit into for over a year, so I tried them on not thinking that I would even be able to get them up.
They did, and I did them up no problem. THEY FIT!!!!!!!!! What a rush. So I have gone from a 26/28 to a 20 in a month. I cried....again. lol
I love my RNY!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Nunn is wonderful, incredible, amazing, and hot. Did I mention that I think he is brilliant too. Everyone at Barix is wonderful. I can't say enough about them.
I will try to keep writing on here more often to document a little better my journey. I am so glad that I did this for myself. Like I have said before 2009 is going to be one hell of a year.
I GOT APPROVED

I went to my GP today and well he is going to submit the paperwork for out of province funding. I am SOOOO EXCITED. Now the ball is rolling.
My hunny asked me what I wanted for my birthday ( it is jan 1st) and I said a surgery date.
I was a little concerned, he said that my blood work came back with some issue's with my liver. He accused me of drinking, which I really don't. He said the levels are elevated. Either all this extra weight or all the meds I am on. Take your pic. I am just keeping my fingers crossed.
The ball is rolling.

I sat through the presentation and then we were all asked to go back to the waiting rooms. Luckily I was one of the first ones there so I was taken into a room right away and my weight and vitals were taken, along with a list of questions. I didn't get to meet with Dr. Nunn, but I did meet with his assistant Stephanie. She put my two biggest concerns to rest, my meds for my bi-polar, and pregnancy afterwards. The whole team was excellent, both in knowledge and making me feel comfortable.
I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I just have to wait til the ninth for my GP apt. and aparently my doc is very familiar with Barix so that is a bonus, and my approval from OHIP and I will be on my way. I can't wait to join the loosers bench.
