Hello! My story begins when I was very young...I was a rail thin child, always running and playing never having the chance to put on the many pounds that I later found. Then when I went into middle school I began to gain weight at a slow pace even though I was heavily involved in many sports. As high school began I dropped out of cheerleading, basketball became boring, the soccer team was gone, softball and english class were at the same time, and life started to get in the way. So I quit doing sports and began to really enjoy all of the things in life that I never got to do before. But the consequences started right away. I gained about 15 pounds and started to feel sick a lot. I later found out that I have PCOS and that the weight gain pronounced my symptoms. I graduated in 2003 with a lot of friends and a lot more weight than my classmates, however I was only about 20 pounds overweight, since then I have gained...brace yourself...100 pounds in less than 5 years. I have a great job and a loving husband and the cutest dog ever. I have a very supportive family and feel like I can do anything I put my mind to...therefore as soon as my required year of monthly vistis are finally over I will have the surgery that I believe will change my life for the better. Good luck to everyone else who is considering or has already undergone this procedure. I hope I am as successful as the people on this sight and hope that one day I can inspire someone like the countless people on this site.
I'll be waiting for the call for my life to journey a new path...until then...I'll just be researching and preparing.
