Update

Aug 01, 2010

When I first started my blog here, I noticed how alot of members posted alot at first and then they just seemed to disapper from their blogs - I did the same.  It has been over a year since my last post.
Having my RNY has enabled me to do so many things and I no longer take the time to come to the site to write anything.  Life has gotten busier mostly in many good ways.
I recently was down in the Lake of the Ozarks and averaged a walk/jog of 7-8 miles daily for 3 days.  I would never have even DREAMT of being able to walk a few yards of that a few years ago.    I was talking to my best friend a few weeks ago and said that once a person has WLS or loses a large amt of weight - they become who they REALLY are.  It is as if all inhibitions are gone with the extra pounds and we aren't stopped in voicing our oppinion and doing things we have always wanted to do.  My boss even recently told me that I had changed - I no longer volunteer for extra committees and want to work on my off time.  I told her I realized that i have a life and I want to live it...in addition I only have to work 3 1/2 more  years to be able to retire at 55 years.  I don't want to be burned out at that time but want to be able to go on and enjoy my additional years.
Hoping everyone is doing well - keep up the good work and never look back .......be who you REALLY are and enjoy your life!!!!!!!!!!
