Hello there, I've been lurking on this site for years trying to decide if I want to take this journey or not. In May I made the decision to move forward with presuing weight loss surgery. I first contacted my insurance to make sure that bariatic surgery was covered and then checked my plan to see what surgeons were in my area. I chose to check out Dr. Gritsus' seminar and I felt very comfortable with him from the very first. From there the ball was set in motion. I was most nervous about speaking with my PCP since I had no idea how he felt about WLS but when I went for my physical with my surgeon's list of blood work needed in hand I told him what I wanted and he was thrilled with my choice. So I have completed all the steps required for my insurance and have a date.
