Hi Julie, Hope you did well in having your surgery. Your name popped out at me because my mother was an Ocha and we have wondered if it could have been changed over the years. Good luck in the next few months. I am still hoping for a date.

Julie, I am praying for you to have a quick and pain free recovery as you join the losing side. :)

Julie is doing much better today. She was tranferred to a regular med-surg. room. They put a pain patch on her, in addition to the PCA, and oral meds, so, her pain is in much better control. She was able to go for a walk this afternoon without to much distress! The NG tube was removed this morning, which she was very happy about. She's sipping on clear liquids. Julie's message to all is: "Thank God for drugs!"

Julie had her surgery yesterday. She went to ICU afterward, which is pretty routine around here. Everything went well, but she did have a lot of pain and difficulty waking up. I'll go see her again today and will update more then. Crystal

Hello All, This is Debbie, Julie’s sister. Julie wanted me to let you all know how things went after her surgery so here is the newly released info: Julie is in ICU sleeping for the time being. The surgery went well and the nurses really wanted her to sleep while she had good pain manegment. Our mom is with her and said she sat with her for an hour after surgery but Julie was sleeping with occasional moans. Julie has tubes coming out of everywhere right now. She has the normal ICU monitors as well as an NG (nasal gastric) tube in her nose, 2 I.V.’s in her hand, 2 drain tubes from the surgery, a bladder catheter, and an oxygen mask. The Dr. will keep her in ICU for the first 24 hours to make sure there is no leakage and then she will hopefully get moved to a regular room tomorrow and will be released 2 days after that. Our mom has a hotel room nearby and will be checking on her often. I will update as I get more information. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
