Made it to my one year anniversary

Well, I made it to my one year anniversary as of November 16th. Wow it is hard to believe that time has passed so fast. I can not complain one bit. I started this journey at a whopping 298lbs and was living a miserable exsistance. In the past year i went from a pre surgery weight of 283lbs to a one year anniversary weight of 168lbs. So since October of last year i have lost a total of 130lbs. I still need to loose 25lbs and i am so hoping i meet that goal by the time i go back to Dr Duncan next month.
As far as clothing goes i went from a size 24 to a size 10/12. And gosh i gotta go back and calculate the inches i have lost but i assure ya it is a LOT. I am off all meds. Except of course for my vitamins. My BP is normal and i have seen a major improvement in my severe back pain. I still do not eat a lot thank goodness and i hope that will continue. I do exercise but have to admit i need to incorporate it more into my schedule. Right now doing it three days a week.
I have gotten countless compliments since the weightloss surgery but the funny thing is even though i see the results my brain still sees me larger than i am. Is a mental thing that i am working on. But i have to admit I do look good. And i feel great. I never realized just how dibilitating my weight was on me until i started this journey. And i pray i never ever see that again. I know this surgery is just a tool and it is up to me to keep on track and stay healthy and that is what i intend to do.
The support has been great. Not only from fellow patients but from my family. My boyfriend started this journey so against this surgery i wasn't sure we would make it. Now a year later he is so very proud of me. He sees how committed to this i have been and supports me in every aspect of my journey. It has motivated him to loose weight. Now granted not the path i took but maybe he will follow my footsteps into a healthier lifestyle.
I will post some recent pics as soon as i get them developed. I am truly blessed and i hope others out there can find happiness and success from their journies. More later TTFN..........
