Barbi, congratulations on your awesome weight loss! I'm so sorry to hear about your hair loss, I know where you are coming from though! I thought I was going to be the skinniest bald chick on the block! You are now at about 6 months so your hair should start growing back now. I take GNCs Hair and Nail vitamins and I really think they've helped. I started losing hair at about 2.5 months post and my hair started re-growing at about 6 months. It seems fairly typical for the hair to start growing again at 6 months. Best wishes!

Sorry to hear about your thin hair. I do know the cancer society gives wigs to cancer patients, maybe if you explain your situation & explain that it's a side effect of surgery they could assist you also. Maybe buy yourself a couple of neat scarfs or a hat to wear. I've read on this BB that taking zinc can help with hair loss. At least this should only be temporary but what a blow to ones self image. Keep your chin up & smile. Best of Luck.

Soon you will be asking yourself why in the world you decided to do this to yourself. And several times over the next couple of weeks you will ask yourself the same thing. Then you will remember -- and you will smile! Best wishes and prayers. Anndrea Hamm
