Surgery was postponed from the 8th to the 22nd so I get to get ready all over again. I'm still having the normal worries about undergoing the surgery and making the life changes. I'm fortunate not to have any severe co-morbidity other than sleep apnea. I've been using c-pap for about 6 years now. I feel better as a result and no longer having the splitting headaches each morning. My husband appreciates the fact that I don't drive him out of the bedroom with my snoring anymore either. I have a pre-op appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday the 15th and I need to go over with him how I will be monitored post operatively considering the apnea. I'm so used to the c-pap I forget that it's such a big deal.

Hello Barbara - <b>Congratulations, </b>your special day is almost here! I suspect you are experiencing a range of emotions right now. My second chance was almost 9 months ago, I've lost 150lbs - only 50 more to goal!!! The week before my surgery I was on a natural high, almost a euphoric state of mind. I couldn't believe I was getting that "second" chance ...to LIVE life again. I wish you all the success and happiness that comes with being healthier and thinner. Sure, there can be a few challenges along the way, but no worse then sitting on the sidelines - confined by our overweight shells. You're about to break free, enjoy and embrace all the wonderful "moments" that come with this journey. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery. <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny."</i> .....Hugs and Smiles : )
