Hi everybody,
My name is Beth and I live in Northern Arizona. I have been overweight all my life starting weight watchers at the age of 10. My mom would drop me off at the meeting and I would go across the street and get some thrifty ice cream, wow that's pretty bad. It has been a constant battle all my life going on countless diets then after losing some weight I would gain it back plus more! I'm sure alot of people can relate to that. I was married young and in an abusive relationship and had a beautiful daughter at the age of 18. Not wanting to raise her in that situation I divorced him, worked many different jobs while attending school and raised her by myself for about 11 years. Thanks to my mom for watching her for me while working and attending school. I met my current husband on a website for overweight people, he likes chubby women, and the rest is history. I have 3 beautiful grandchildren, a wonderful daughter and supportive husband. We have talked about how this surgery will affect our relationship but he tells me that he just wants me healthy and at the weight I'm at I'm definitely am not healthy. I have thought about gastric bypass for many years but kept talking myself out of it thinking I could just do it on my own but realized I can't and admitted defeat so there starts my journey. I can't wait to start my life, go gold mining with my husband, take my grandkids on rides instead of just watching them, take an airplane ride, go to a Cardinals game without the seat hurting my hips!!!! Bottom line I can't wait to start crossing things off my bucket list of life!!!!!!!!
