My highest weight was 369lbs. Jan 2005. My bloodpressure and my sugar was high so the dr gave me a diabetic diet to start. I recieved and filled out my bariatric sugery papers and mailed them in 3-28-05. I had gone to my primary dr again to check my sugar and he suggested Atkins.
I had quit smoking for 9 years and started again and had been smoking for 1 year. I had my last cigarette June 30, 2005. I got married July 2. 2005. I had my first appt at the bariatric center July 6, 2005. I was required to try blended food. And to go to a support meeting. I went to two of them, and my husband went with me. I had to come up with some ideas of what I would do instead of eating when I got bored at night or just when I was bored anytime.
I had my second appt at the bariatric center on my birthday Oct 5, 2005. I had to take an oral test to see if I understood how my life would change after my surgery. The way I would be eating, the supplements I would have to take. I passed this test and was called later with a surgery date of Dec 12, 2005.
