First Trip to Ypsilanti, MI

I am just starting my journey to WLS.
Last week, May 10th/07 I made my first journey to the Barix Clinic in MI.
I was quite impressed with the facility.
The group presentation was very informative. I met with Dr.David Kam, who was quite personable and answered all my questions.
Afterwards I spoke with patient co-ordinator Melanie who was also full of information and could speak from experience as she had had WLS 11 yrs. ago. She in herself is a testament to successful weight loss and better quality of life.
After my visit, I now feel much more comfortable with my decision to pursue WLS.
I have talked to my physician and she is filling out my Out of Country Application. She has however ordered some blood work that I had done today and would like to see the results before completing the
application.
It should only be a couple of days until I can send it to OHIP, and then the real waiting will begin.
