I seen the doctor today and she removed the staples from the second surgery. There is a not but she checked and it is not an infection. I lost 9 lbs, not great, but she said with such a rocky start that was good. As I was leaving the office, my mom's nursing home called me and my mom had just passed away. This was unexpected, but she did go quietly during a nap after breakfast. So many things on top of each other, but we do what we have to do. We will be burying her in Okla so we have a very long ride ahead of us in a day or so. Hopefully next week I will be able to get on a good schedule. Marilyn

I'm sorry I have not updated, but a few of you know I have not been around. Lap RnY on 10/22 went pretty good I thought and was released from the hospital on the 25th but queasy in the tummy. After I got home (approx 4 hr drive) the queasiness got worse and I started vomiting. I called on Mon and they said wait one more day. On Tue I was still unable to keep liquids down so the doctor scheduled me for a CT of the abdomen. I had a piece of intestine that got pinched off and therefore nothing could pass, so I went back to surgery Wed evening 10/29. The pain is a lot worse than the first surgery and harder to walk because of it. I came home Fri nite and started my mushy foods for the first time--mashed potatoes. Everything is staying down, but just really sore and very painful right side (2nd surg). I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers. I could still use them!!

~*~I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all.~*~Hugs to you~*~

HELLO E-BODY!! Marilyn made it through surgery on Wednesday morning. I will let her give you the intimate details, but I have spoken to her and stopped by to see her. Unfortunately she was sleeping and unaware of my presence, but I left her a card and a bunch of well wishes. She is very tired of course, and taking her laps as instructed! She was in great spirits tonight when I talked to her, ready to run around the nurses station and maybe come home tomorrow!! We are sooooo happy for you Mar...Cant wait til you get home!! MUCH LOVE, your angel,
