Hi Becca, My name is Sandra and I had DS 20 months ago. It is a major life change but one that I would not change for the world. It's the best thing we can do for ourselves it to take care of ourselves and we have been given this gift of DS by Dr. L paid by OHIP and a lease on a new healthier life. It's completely normal to feel anxious and scared but a year from now you will be a whole new person literally. You have great support having Isla for an Angel and we are always here for you too. If you have any questions that I can help with please feel free to contact me. Many blessing and huggs, Sandra ( at goal for over a year)mother of five and two grandchildren)

Please understand we all get very nervous before this surgery and we all wonder if we have made a mistake or are we going to be able to lose weight with this. Most of us have done superb have a look at how many of us have started to lose weight even a bit before surgery. You will do fine just like the rest of us I wish you all the best and can`t wait to hear how your doing. Good luck , Lise
