HI I am Becca. I am 41 years young and live in Indiana. My partner Jane and I have been together almost 11 years and we have two spolied rotten 4 legged babies named Baylee and Oliver. I started this process over 2 years ago. I was approved in 11-2006 to have the RNY (at the time my Dr did not do the Lap Band) shortly after being approved was told I needed to have a total hysterectomy(sp?) I opted to have that instead of the RNY. To be perfectlly honest having the RNY scared the crap out of me. In some ways I was happy not to have it....When I saw the Doctor again I told him if you did the Lap Band I would consider it.... moving forward almost two years STILL very over weight but the good news is that I have not gained anymore weight HAHAHA So I go to see my primary DOC about some problems I have been having (gall bladder) so he sends me to a specialist who just so happen to be the DOC that was going to do my RNY. He walks in the room looks at me funny (it kinda reminded me of the way a dog would look at you if you said something to them) walked out without saying a word comes back into the office 10 minutes later with another file and says " you bailed on me a few years ago for the RNY. I do Lap band now. " So here I am. With my approval and my surgery date 11-06-2008. I am very excited. I have done all of my tests, labs,x-rays you name it I have done it . Got my vitiamins and such and just waiting at this time. Insurance was not any issues. Since I had the same insurance as before they went ahead and approved it again. I had my approval within 5 days.
