Hello Becky - You've got a sweetie for an Angel (in Jolene) but you prolly already know that!! : ) Congratulations, your second chance at life is only a few short days away! My prayers and best wishes are with you as you take the first steps down the path to a healthier and thinner you. (I had my surgery 9 months ago and have since lost a 150 pounds, only 50 more to goal!!)  Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions.    I look forward to reading the "updates" to your profile as your journey progresses.   Dont forget to walk, walk, WALK right after surgery, no matter how tired you are......AND get your protein and water in daily, lots and lots of both, your health depends on it.  Know that you are not alone, there are MANY of us that will have you in our thoughts and prayers on your very special day.  <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....Hugs and Smiles  : )

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you a speedy recovery and a welcome to the losing side BeckyT

Your day is around the corner. I pray that you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. I also pray that you have much success and use your tool to the best of your abilities. The first two weeks will be rough, but I know you are up for the challange. God Bless.

Becky I love the BLUEGRASS PRINCESS LOL. It fits you well because you live up in a holler like Teann the REDNECK PRINCESS. Now if Teann had thought of the bluegrass first, she would have claimed it. She LOVES BLUEGRASS. But it couldn't be more fitting for a gal from Kentucky. Best wishes for your surgery. Count down girl, count down. WANDA THE REBEL PRINCESS

Hi Becky; I read your comments of 9/29. We all have to go through the same evaluation that you are conducting. What are the pros/cons/risks/rewards? Stay objective and use empirical data where you can, rather than too much subjective opinion. Look at mortality and complication stats for the following; those who have had whatever type of surgery you are considering, AND the mortality/complication stats resulting from super or morbid obesity. Evaluate your life at present and what you want from your future. Evaluate your efforts at losing weight thus far and any other weight loss options that might still be open to you. You will end up making the right call for your situation. I chose surgery because I had tried everything else. That was right for me, and I am very happy I did it. You will make the right choice, whichever direction you choose. Best of luck, Marcie
