Hello Everyone!!

My name is Shirley. I had my RNY surgery November 24th 2009. The surgery went well. I was home on Thanksgiving day. I have to be truthful I was very nauseated with the smell of turkey all through the house. Well come to find out I had a little complication, that caused the nausea. I had a obsctruced bowel and was taken back to the hospital in the early am hours day after Thanksgiving. I must say it was not too much fun. After taking tests it was found that I had to go into surgery once again to fix the problem. I have had no problems since. My weight at the time of surgery was 278 lbs! Today I am 237 41 lbs lighter and it will be 2 months in a few days. My doctor who did my surgery was Marc M. Zare' what a awesome doctor!!! He was there for me whenever I needed support, questions etc... If I had to do this again I would not hesitate. His office assistant Ben was also very helpful whenever I called. Which was at least once a day!! I would reccomend Dr. Zare and his staff if anyone out there is thinking of RNY surgery. They took good care of me.
