Hello to anyone who may be reading this. I have been overweight my entire life. I went though my childhood being picked on and whatnot. To combat the teasing I resorted to being he class clown, you know if you can't beat them join them.
I'm sure alot of us can say the same thing.
I have spent alot of money on useless diets products for years now. Within the past two years my PCP starting asking me if I ever considered WLS. Finally after many months of thinking and researching I'm ready to admit I need help.
Well I had my consult yesterday (2/9), it went well. I'm 5'5" and 351my BMI is well over 50. With all that information there's good news if you want to look at it that way the only insurance requirement I need is a psych clearance. I am scheduled for that next week. My surgeon seems to think it won't take long for the approval to come through.
With all that said. I am and nervous and scared and the funny thing is I'm more scared to tell my Mom. IT's not that she won't support me or be mad she will just worry. I'm 35 years old why am I nervous to tell my mom. Has anyone else felt like this?
Well I will keep posting with my updates and hopefully soon I will be on my way to the new me.
