"Dr. Koutz is a professional in every way. She was willing to give me a referal and knew exactly what needed to be done. It was a relief to finally find a doctor who cared about my situation. "
"First impression at the seminar was that he was a professional, serious but had a good, yet dry, sense of humor. I liked him.
First impression during my appointment wasn't much. He was very serious, no beside manner whatsoever until the appointment was almost over. He did not ever say hi or even introduced himself to me or my husband when he came into the room. He seemed rushed. I expected this behavior since I had heard that he was like this, so I was not too offended.
Office staff seemed very nice. I didn't have a whole lot of interaction with them, but they have been nice and seem knowledgable in my dealings with them.
Patients should be aware that Dr. Tanaka is no nonsense. He is very serious but I think that he will lighten up after surgery.
Aftercare is emphesized a great deal. You need to make a commitment to follow their protocol before they will agree to do surgery on you. I think this is good.
Aftercare is definately structured. You know each day what you need to do. This is a nice feature since things tend to get overwhelming.
Dr. was very clear about the risks. Dr. goes over each of them, explains where the problems will occur and asks if you understand the risks. I think that they sufficiently outline the risks and make each of them extremely clear to the patient and the family.
out of 10 I would rate Dr. Tanaka a 10 so far.
