12/11/09 
Got a call from Jennifer at the surgeons office that the insurance approved the VSG and made an appointment for 12/23/09 to see the surgeon for the last time before the surgery and schedule a date for the surgery
12/23/09
Met with the surgeon and discussed the pre-op diet and scheduled the surgery for 1/11/10. was told to get final clearance from my PCP and blood work.
12/24/09
Met with my PCP gave me final clearance was very supportive of the VSG, got the blood work done.
12/29/09 
Got a call from Michelle at the insurance company informing me that starting in January 2010 the insurance company is not going to cover any WLS in the hospital that I am suppose to have the surgery, and since my surgeon is not affiliate with any of the few hospitals that they do cover I will have to start with a different surgeon, I called Jennifer at the surgeons office and asked her about it, she told me she just got the same call and doesn't know anything yet, she will let me know as soon as she knows anything about it.

I called Jennifer at the surgeons office for an update, she told me that as of now the surgery is off.
12/31/09
I got a call from Jennifer at the surgeons office, that the surgeon is working it out with the insurance company and they will cover it they are just waiting for it in writing, so for now were back on and I should continue with my pre-op diet.

I got a call from the surgeon saying that the surgery is off, and I have 2 choices, either change insurance company or find a different surgeon that works with the hospitals that my insurance company covers.

Got a call from Michelle at the insurance company informing me that they worked something out and they will pay for that hospital and surgeon and I should call Jennifer to schedule a new date since it's too close to the prior date. I called Jennifer
and she told me she also just got the call from the insurance company and rescheduled the surgery for a week later on 1/18/10.
1/11/10 
I got a call from Jennifer at the surgeons office telling me that 1/18/10 is a holiday, they are working but didn't realize when she scheduled that the hospital doesn't have OR. so she rescheduled it for another week 1/25/10.
