Paul Cirangle

"1. First impression: Great personality, very knowledgeable, made me feel at ease. 2. First Impression over time: My views of LapSF and Dr. Cirangle are the same. I'm in the most caring hands and the best bariatric surgical team in the USA. 3. Office Staff: Very friendly, warm, kindhearted, knowledgeable. 4. Least liked: Dr. Cirangles ability to scare you with what can potentially happen. He can be very harsh, but that is expected, they want to make sure you are absolutely sure this is what you want, and that you are totally committed to the program. 5. What Future Patients should Know: LapSF is one of the Highest rated surgical teams in the USA. Dr. Jossart and Dr. Cirangle are 2 of the 15 surgeons in the USA who perform the VSG and VSG/DS. You're in great hands with this team. They try to help you every single step of the way. 6. Emphasis of Aftercare: The team at LapSF is very adamant about aftercare and following all rules that go along with every type of bariatric surgery. 7. Structured Aftercare Program: LapSF has a very, very structured aftercare program. Every topic is covered in there handout. How to eat, what to eat, etc. There is a period of 2 weeks of very high protein, 2 weeks of soft foods (during the soft food stage, you must still consume the protein shakes as you cannot get enough protein from the soft foods alone). Every surgeon has some form of a plan, but it seems LapSF has it down to a true science. Everything you'll ever want to know is available at there website: www.lapsf.com 8. Addressing Risks: Dr. Cirangle made it very clear that this surgery is not even close to risk free. Every single thing that could happen was explained in excruciating details. Even if the chances of something happening were 1 in 800,000 they still told you. 9. Rating Overall: Honestly, I can give LapSF and Dr. Cirangle a 10/10 without a single doubt in my mind. BONUS QUESTION: Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great? I would say, Surgical competence. No one wants a surgeon with very little surgical competence. I really don't care if the surgeon is a total jerk bedside. If he knows what he's doing, and he does it well, who cares? But, that is not Dr. Cirangle, this guy is truly great. Both in bedside manner, and surgical competence. I couldn't ask for a better surgical team! Thank you LapSF, you all are the best! "
