Surgery on Tuesday
Jul 24, 2009
Well, surgery is Tuesday, and like many others, I am worried. I am just a worrier. It's what I do. I made a will and got it notarized today.
From what I have been able to read, I have a good Dr. and my surgery will be uneventful. I hope so. I live in a very small town and had trouble finding protein bullets and Gas X strips. I broke down and drove to the nearest Wal Mart this morning. They only had 8 bullets, so I bought those. They had the strips and chewable vitamins too. I fly out Monday morning with my sister and am not looking forward to flying if you all know what I mean. I went ahead and got three seats for the two of us so there are less chances for problems.
I have been on this horrible liquid diet for over three weeks now and I am pretty tired of the Wal-Mart Protein shakes. The vanilla almost makes me gag now. Not looking forward to more of the same after surgery. On the good side, I have lost 26 pounds so far. That is a drop in the bucket for me though.
Looking past all this to being "normal" helps some. I am not one of those people that got fatter over the years. I have been fat since age 10-12. I don't remember ever being the same size as everyone else. If this works, it should change my life, and I'm looking forward to it.
