For the first time since I can remember I am below 300#. % weeks since surgery and down a total of 65 #.

I am almost 5 weeks post op. I read about dumping and not being able to eat certain foods. My question is does this happen to everyone or is the sleeve different? I can eat most any food within reason. Just wondering.

I was eating my egg and 1 chuck of pineapple this morning and was unhappy that I have only lost 5#'s this week. Then it dawned on me that that is 20#'s per month. In just 15 months I will be completly gone at that rate! I feel better now! Actually I am down 60 pounds in 8 weeks. 4 weeks of liquid, and 4 weeks since surgery!

I lost 10 pounds on my first 5 day of liquid!

Today I start the liquid phase before surgery. 4 weeks of optifast. I am ready to do it!

I am excited. I met with Dr Bour today and I now have a date. Dec 28th Sleeve Gastrectomy! I am ready! 359.4 lbs starting weight, Goal of 220. I start liquids next week. They are waiting till after Thanksgiving then I start the next day.

I am really excited that on next Weds I see the Doctor for a date. I have done my 12 support classes and continue to do more. Finally I will see the Dr and get started. I hope for surgery just after Christmas. I have already started shakes in the morning to get me ready for the liquids for 4 weeks before surgery, so I think it will go smooth. Excited Finally!

Has anyone applied for additional life ins after wls. I was told this week that life ins was nearly impossible to get after surgery. Anyone know the facts. Also health insurance should be less expensive after a big loss. Is that true?

Today I have 2 classes to attend. One called "Patient Role Model" and the other is "Surgery 101". I am getting excited about working toward my surgery. Just can;t wait!

Well I completed 2 classes yesterday moving toward my surgury date. I sat thru "emotional effects on the family". Great seminar. Then last night I attended "Dr Scott talks surgury" another great topic that was very informative. I am so glad that I choose a Doctor that believes in education before and support after surgury. My excitment is building everyday! Can't wait for a surgury date.
