"My first impression of Dr. Hoehn was, \"This is a man who is doing WLS because he truly wants to see people succeed, not just for shear numbers.\" Over time my first thoughts were validated first through my wife's journey and then through my own. The office staff are wonderful people who treat you like family knowing your name and always providing positive encouragement. Aftercare is strongly emphasized to the point that there is a support group specifically for both RNY and lap-band patients. The program is very structured and it starts before you ever have surgery to ensure you are a patient for Shawnee Mission's Bariatric Program as much as we are looking to determine if he is the surgeon we want to do our WLS. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Dr. Hoehn a 10+, an all around great surgeon with awesome surgical competence and great bedside manner."
