I had my surgery yesterday and everyting went great. I arrived at the hospital super early due to mis-communication so I had to wait for 5 hours before I went into holding, so that was a bummer...but everyone was super nice to me and I knew I was in good hands. The surgeon came in while I was in holding and then asked me if I was sure I wanted the band? I was kinda upset when she asked me that because I have told her that I wouldn't consider the bypass no matter what. I do have about 250 lbs I understand why she would think I need the gastric but I didnt want to take that risks. Overall I'm happy I went through with getting the band. I can't believe its finally over. Im super stoked for my new life and journey to begin. I don't have a whole lot of pain which the meds take care of that. I'm definitely not hungry so I'm hoping I don't go through the "bandster hell" that everyone keeps talking about. My goal is to have a great recovery and start exercising as soon as possible.I'm officially able to carry this card!!! WooHOO!!!
